Yes yes yes Clean carbs wont do much of anything if there just going to get

If there is gunk in the tank then cleaning the carbs won't last long.
Clean the tank out too or at least add a $5 inline fuel filter.

Be sure to count the turns when you take them out. I'd do a bench sync
too. Then replace the gas with good hightest and a can of seafoam then
go for a long ride

theres no replacement for a good through carb cleaning... snake oil can
help, but sounds like they just need to be cleaned
