Yes, 8 volts. It was the dumbest setup you ever saw. Why it wasn't converted
right to a 12 volt I'll never know. The thing would just die on me all of the
time. I sold it off and got a '73 Nova. It sucked too and
some of it. It's the same ol' problem though...when you got

On my 84 650 SC I'll press the start button and most of the time the

button and it just clicked then finally it cranked over and started.

I did the bypass on mine and it turned out to be the starter motor...I just
changed the thing out since I had an extra. They can be rebuilt
