Replace the whole throttle valve or just the seal? Where could I find a replacement? Bikebandit doesn't have any in stock, and they'd be $110 if they were. Can I use one from another model bike? On Jul 14, 11:09 am, Kyle Munz wrote: > Replacement > > -Kyle > > > > On Wed, Jul 14, 2010 at 12:55 PM

I do occasionally see entire rebuilt carbs on eBay for a couple hundred $. Again, those are usually for 650

Someone who speaks carburetor better than me will have to answer that one. I know the diaphragm controls raising and lowering the needle into the intake to adjust the air/fuel mix or flow or something. How it works with or without it I'll let someone else guess. -Kyle On Wed, Jul 14, 2010 at 4:0

Yeah, it's my understanding that in a CV carb the vacuum diaphragm does most of the work - raising the needle to let more fuel flow through the main jet when vacuum is increased by opening the butterfly with the throttle... I'd guess you'd have poor throttle response with a torn or worn out diaphr
