As for GSM carriers, I've had T-Mobile and ATT in Middle Tennessee and I can say that I had constant problems and dropped calls for the 7 years I had T-Mobile (on at least 6 different phones). After switching to ATT two years ago, I almost never find myself in a dead zone and I've had much fewer

My experience with t mobile is that unless you are always in a metro area you will have very poor service. My place of employment has had then for a while but have recently changed providers because of large outages in the service that were becoming quite often. I can't say much about ATT service.
