Greetings all, I probably should have mentioned this when I was doing the GIT presentation last Tuesday. The company I currently work at is looking to bring on an additional PHP developer. This person will be responsible for fixing a lot of bad India spewed code. This is a full time position.

Years ago I put a squid server in to do just that for my family (a very slow connection to the outside world back then). But as Andy noted, there are certain secure and interactive applications that the caching proxy just brakes. Especially banking, stock market trading, and some gaming servers

I used to use Smoothwall and I liked it a lot but my routing needs outgrew what I could do with it so I'm using pfSense for my routing needs now. What I'd like to implement is a caching proxy that doesn't do any actual routing, it just sits between the router and the outside modem. Chris On
