Last I priced them, the Dell stock warranty was one year. If you

I'd suggest your reseller needs to step up. Suggesting that this minor
fiasco is giving you pause to consider your relationship with them and you
are considering Dell might make them resolve the issue. Then again, it
might not, and then you know what kind of vendor relationship you're really
in.
Don't know if it makes a difference, but Dell has recently acquired
Force 10, which makes switches as well. Can't tell you more than that,
because I've not used either Dell or Force 10 switches, but perhaps
someone on this list can speak to that.
