Sounds like you've toggled your view in ADUC, and it remembers your last used
setting. Open ADUC up and click on the view menu. Uncheck Users,
Contacts, Groups, and Computers as containers (in WS08) or Users, Groups, and
Computers as Containers (WS03 ).

Okay, so I just went and did what you are saying, and guess what--same
thing! If I look on a WS08 server (or Vista with the RSAT), it looks
and acts normal. If I look on a WS03/XP box, it does what
