I have used the echo service product for restores to same and dissimilar
hardware and it worked well. I have tried it for migrations from physical to
virtual machines and I had issues. Their support has been very slow - at
times they have taken 3 days to respond to an email even though I have paid
I demoed it and was able to perform a restore to dissimilar hardware after a
couple of days, I had to use locally attached USB drives containing the restore
data because when trying to access backup files across the network I kept
encountering CRC errors.
Acronis was not able to resolve the iss
Contact UltraBac and ask them for a demo of UBDR-Gold. It may have some
unique and valuable features.

I have found the Acronis Echo products to be FAR superior to their preceding
True Image products. They seem to have finally gotten all of the SATA vs. SAS
stuff figured out that really plagued them prior to Echo.
