You can install a Remote Desktop Session Host on a VM (whether it is Hyper V, or Vmware etc), that is supported. You can't (well it isn't supported though there are hack methods) install VDI on a VM which is what you have attempted to do. When you run the Add Roles and Features Wizard select the
