Do the users connect just like before with RD?
Are there any other differences for the users?

That particular machine is set up for remote admin. You need to
configure it as a Terminal Services application server.
Such a thing is not something that can be done quickly and should not be
done by the inexperienced: you need to rebuild or replace the machine -
RDP servers need to be dedicated
