This evening from 3:20 to dusk Samantha Holschbach and I searched without success for the Pink-footed Goose at Sunken Meadow State Park.  We found a flock of 65 Canadas on the edge of a closed parking lot; that was it for goose activity.  It seems we've missed this bird by one day.  No Accipit

I was at Sunken Meadows late on 11/23/09 and early on 11/24/09 with no joy. Got a Red-throated Loon in the AM but not much more was past the beach. This was my 2nd trip across the state in the last two weeks for the Pink-footed Goose. The Cattle Egret was not around Floyd Bennet airfield on 11/

Jerry & all, A little county by county "peak-bagging", as well as birding then? I had walked in the highest point within the Bronx before that development off 250 Street - it was a small woodland with as many as 25 nesting species including such as Red-eyed Vireo, the 2 regular city-nest
