[nysbirds-l] NY Nesting Trumpeter Swans ?

I have a friend that lives in Fulton NY, just north of Syracuse. She knows I am into birds so she sent me a an awesome picture of a family of swans (2 adults and 5 babies) down the road from her house. At first look I realized they weren't mute swans. I have never seen a Trumpeter swan, but

While chasing the previously reported Whimbrel I stumbled across a Marbled Godwit at 11:00 am today view-able from the Ponquogue bridge parking. It was on the island west of the bridge, among twenty or so DC Cormorants on the shoreline of the island also view-able from Road K. -- Ken Thompson Say
