Hi Orhan and all, There was indeed a Black Vulture at Montauk in early March 2000. Patricia Lindsay and I saw it on 5 March and were very excited, given the species' real rarity on Long Island at that time. It would be seven years before we saw another Black Vulture on LI. Shai Mitra Bay Shore
