Today at Bronx Zoo, Pine Siskins (two, possibly more) accompanied American
Goldfinches in Sweetgum crowns near Asia parking lot. Some Rusty
Blackbirds too in trees bordering Children's Zoo. Also a late/overwintering
Gray Catbird has been hanging around Zoo Center lately and surprise of the
day
Black headed gull remains,seen on prospect lake west shore by red rescue
ladder,prospect park

I scanned the lake in Prospect Park from about 830 to 900 a.m. this morning
with no sign of the gull. Most of the gulls were on the water near the center
of the lake, so it's entirely possible the bird is still there somewhere.

The western kingbird is present in the parking lot at Montauk SP. He has been
between the comfort station and the lot entrance. Also present was a brown
thrasher.

The Painted Bunting continues on the north side of the Lefrak Center in
Prospect Park as reported by Klemens Gasser. Stay on the paths please.

The TV count circling fairly low above downtown Croton-on-Hudson I would
estimate reached 150-175 this morning 7 am. There were a lot of ahs from folks
going in for coffee at The Black Cow
