Is there a reason these folks refuse to get the word out on NYS birds before the end of day and instead wait to (I assume)crop photos to put up on Facebook after the birding day is over. Just asking. If I see something of interest at the Point I always try and post quickly to NYSBirds, which

In addition to the light morph juv Swainson's Hawk, I saw what I think was an adult dark morph Red-tailed Hawk this morning. This was an adult Red-tailed Hawk (i.e., red tail) with completely blackish body plumage. It was along the edge of Fresh Kills, just east of Rte. 440 and a little south

Bird was found this morning by Dick Veit and access is off limits. However I just saw it soaring with 2 Red-tails from the FedEx parking lot on Richmond Avenue. Google Dick's Sporting Goods on Richmond Avenue and bird was seen soaring over landfill basically across from there. No access to
