Hi Everyone:
Sorry to be off topic but I could use some ideas. On Thursday I found an
injured Red-tailed Hawk in my yard here on Shelter Island. It was unable to
fly. We got her to The North Fork Animal Hospital where an x-ray revealed that
she had been shot. She is now resting at the Evelyn
2 at the very East end of the pond, north of the bridge (the inlet).
Also 2 Wilson's Snipe at Georgica Cove.

Among the many scoters and Common Eiders at Montauk Point today was a single
drake Harlequin and a few Razorbills in singles and twos. Black appeared to be
most abundant scoter followed by Surf and White-winged. Huge duck flocks were
beyond identification range. Also present a few Gannets,
A sunny cold morning with KT Bardwell and J. Grant yielded a lot more birds
than we thought. The lark sparrow continues seen a few times with good size
flocks of American tree sparrows, juncos and some wt sparrows. 2 golden crowned
kinglets and 2 catbirds the latter on low road by wine cellars,
A marker was created for Blue Point Ave. Dock in Suffolk County based on
the Tufted Duck find by Derek Rogers. The hotspot should be available
within 12 hours.

to locate the Greater White-fronted Goose that was reportedly seen on Wednesday
