Puddle birding is the new thing? Brendan also reports Western Sandpiper
continuing there as well. Really incredible the quality of Shorebirds being
reported from the puddles at Orchard Beach.

want to level up their game.

Orchard Beach Pelham Bay, Bronx.

The overnight pelagic out of Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn scheduled for Sunday
August 27th/Monday August 28th is being moved up one day due to the
weather. If we have enough participants we will depart Saturday at 8pm and
return Sunday at 6pm.

Deborah Allen reported a Lawrence's warbler at the north end of Central
Park an hour or so ago. The bird is now being seen by other observers just
north of the Pool, south of the Great Hill.

There was a decent push of migrants over CI this morning in a two and a
half hour stationary count.
Bobolinks (71) and Eastern Kingbirds (53) put in a solid showing and 12
species of warbler were identifiable as they flew to points north and west.

As people are still looking for the Lark Sparrow, it is now feeding in
short grass between Bay Parkway and the eastern entrance to Field 2 (Jones
Beach West End). There were at least 2 Black Terns off the Coast Guard
Station with other Terns.
