Along Old Country Road, East Quogue, near mailbox #113, a Chuck-
will's-widow was again hear this evening, shortly before 9PM. Along
the access road to the Coast Guard housing area, across from the
entrance to Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach, numerous whip-poor-
wills were heard,

This evening, while driving home after a dusk visit to Quogue
Wildlife Refuge, I heard a Chuck-will's-widow call. After stopping
the car, the bird continued for the five minutes I stayed there, and
was calling as I left.

A singing male Mourning Warbler was seen this morning from about 9:45
- 11:00AM, at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, along the boardwalk area
parallel to the rail road tracks. The bird was seen on both sides of
the walkway, between the stream and the overspill sitting area. The

The recently reported Upland Sandpiper was seen today, 12:00 -12:25PM
at Robert Moses State Park. The bird was in the low grass, on the
south roadside shoulder between Parking Lots 4 and 5, just east of
the turn-around. It walked between the road and the berm, and was

Per a phone call at 12:10PM, from John McNeil, there are two immature
bald eagles sitting on the ice in North Sea Harbor, visible from
Conscience Point boat ramp, off North Sea Road, Southampton, Suffolk
County. The birds remained there as he was observing them.

As of 3:15PM Friday, Snowy Owl still visible on Eastern side,
Shinnecock Inlet. Visible from highest point on west jetty parking.
Owl was perched in dead tree/pole.

While birding along Dune Road today (Sunday) at 4:20PM, I saw and
photographed a Sandhill Crane. The bird was seen standing just east
of the "Berm", which is east of Dockers Restaurant. It took off,
after a Great Blue Heron swooped past, and was last seen flying north-
east over the
