Pond. Good numbers of peeps, mostly fresh-out-of-the-oven juvs, including
several Westerns and white-rumped, and one Pectoral. Spotted a pair of
Short-billed dowitchers, but no Stilt sandpipers as far as I could tell.
Continues in upland area east of the marina between Piers 3 and 5. Feeding on

While walking down Edgemere Park road to the landfill, Alie Ratay, Bob
Washburn and I flushed a likely 1st year CHUCK-WILL'S-WIDOW from the north side
of the road at the open chain-link gates to the bayside parking area. Adding

There is a likely SAY'S PHOEBE on the north side of the Peninsula meadow in
Prospect Park, Brooklyn.
Overall drab bird with faint salmony undertail coverts and belly. Black
undertail with no rufous.
