Another positive report comes in from Eric Miller and Bobby Veltri who had the
Virginia's Warbler around 2:30 p.m. Eric's message describes the following:

Ed Bescher just called me to report that he saw the Virginia's Warbler
at about 11:35 AM this morning at Little Alley Pond, along the edges of
the pond itself. The bird has since disappeared, but it's good to know
the bird is still present and possibly favoring a new location.

Eric Miller just reported that the Virginia's Warbler continues at
Alley Pond Park in Queens.
Seen at 2:15 p.m. on the north side of the kettle hole, that is
closest to 73rd Avenue. The area is within ear shot of a new home
construction.
The bird was seen foraging and heard chipping. Many thanks
Seen by myself and 6 others found by someone named Lance. Gave great looks at
around 7:40.

Just seen in the kettle then flew south toward the nutmeg meadow, as Peter
Polshek referenced in yesterday's post. I alerted a group of 3 birders from
Pennsylvania who quickly followed up and enjoyed nice views.

The VIWA was seen between 10:40-10:55 around and in the west side of the kettle
hole it was last seen on Monday.
Fifth times the charm...about 11 hours total search time... Goes without saying
this can be a difficult bird to find.
Good luck if you haven't seen it yet,
