Updated the map once again to show approximate locations of sightings Nov.
28 (one of), Dec. 2, and today. I have marked December dates as Dn. I'm
thinking that Andrew was not including today's sighting in the range
expansion. If I'm interpreting it correctly, it's between previous
locations. One
Hi,
I am thinking of trying for the Virginia's Warbler on Wednesday (5th December),
this will be my first opportunity since it was found to get there. If anyone
else is thinking of trying that day, send me an email as it seems like team
work may be the best option.
All the best,
Pete

Another positive report comes in from Eric Miller and Bobby Veltri who had the
Virginia's Warbler around 2:30 p.m. Eric's message describes the following:
seen in the South East corner by the stairway leading up to the Vanderbilt
Motor Parkway.
This is near Little Alley Pond just below the Gra
Seen by myself and 6 others found by someone named Lance. Gave great looks at

The Virginia's Warbler was seen twice between 11:30 and 12:30 at the
location where it was seen at 1:45 yesterday. This is on the trail on the
sou
tion with the road also called "Brooklyn Queens
Greenway". Yesterday I found lots of easy parking near the east end of 76th.

The Virginia's Warbler was seen twice between 11:30 and 12:30 at the
location where it was seen at 1:45 yesterday. This is on the trail on the
south side of the gully, at a high point with good visibility into the
gully. There is a new twist - an Orange-crowned Warbler - that may throw
birders off.
Thanks Steve for posting an updated map. The bird was seen on and off as
late as 4:20 p.m.
Reminder: Please remember to follow the ABA code of ethics when birding.
Excessive tape playing is not the way to go about trying to see this
rarity and may actually push the bird away instead of enticing

A couple of people asked me to keep them posted, so here goes. It did indeed
