Have you tried adding a new user and logging in with that

Logging in to the terminal is completely different to logging in to the
e terminal, the front facing web site is the only
thing that does not let me log on.
Any ideas?

You may need to be a little more specific. It's very unlikely that "nothing
happens".
Is it failing to log in?

Typically issues with your auth provider will show up there.
