Hi Ken,
The Envy24/HT drivers were not migrated yet for native support under
OpenIndiana's Illumos-gate.
Don't bother with audio810 and audiohd driver as you'd want the Envy24HT driver
overall for better usage
with your card.
I'd do the migration if time allows.

There is a way in the audio810.conf to restrict the channels to stereo. I
cannot recsll offhand and I cannot check the source atm, but if you try it you
might get better results.

I have uploaded initial text-installer ISO and USB images to:
http://dlc-int.openindiana.org/151/
You can use text-installer images to install OpenIndiana on new
machines. To get all GUI bits in one go you can install
pkg:/slim_install meta-package (and then uninstall it once all the

After seeing OI/Illumos on VBox suck wind compiling, I've had a chat with some
of their developers on #vbox-dev about the problems I'm seeing. They're
receptive and simply want to see reproducible simple test cases. Their
preferred case is the time to compile VBox OSE itself on a guest. I ran a
