Who's near Hortense GA that can go see the 70 with a 69 title?
Perhaps I just ask their local Sherriff to drop by over there to ck in on
the car?

Thanks everyone for the help. I went up to Autozone today and bought a
new serpentine belt. While I was there, I asked the guy if he could get
an alternator down and let me hear what it sounds like when it spins.
He gets one down and spins it. It didn't make one full revolution before

That would be a 1969 big-body Olds radio, 88 and 98...probably a 98, the
wonderbars were pretty high-class. Not stereo, but it at least has a

I have a couple and, when I send them off to be fixed, the dude is going
to move the transistor and its heatsink from the driver's side
Below is Ebays response to the 70 Olds 442 convert

Your blower motor probably just needed oil, though
running it that way for a year doesn't help the
bearings.
A new bearing and maybe brushes would have
probably fixed your old alternator.

That's cool. Those were pretty decent radios, and still
can be when maintained (replace polarized caps and
speakers). Of course they don't have todays' features,
but they are a lot more repairable. No radio built today
will be operational in 4 decades (and probably not the
car either).

Your right, the blower motor probably could have been oiled but the
reason it was doing this was due to a water leak at the windshield that
let water into the passenger compartment. I figured if I had to pull the
thing to oil it, I might as well put a new one back in with a warranty.

Hello Olds guys and gals:
I had corresponded a year (or more) ago with someone
needing a rear fender skirt for a 69/70 Olds 98.
This weekend I found a pair (one NOW, one used w/minor
rust) hidden in the garage...
I've lost the e-mail... anyone interested?

Was looking at the 442 stuff on evil and saw this
auction. It takes all kinds of folks to make a world
but is it just nuts to cut up a body like this or am I
missing something here?? Isn't this worth more as a
buildable body with 5VY tag?

Looking for a set of fog lamps for a '98 Intrigue. Mine have had water
get into the housings and turned them orange. I've price them at
www.gmpartsdirect.com at roughly $80 each. Looking for something cheaper
than that but no junkyards here locally have them.

Sent the seller a note suggesting he try to sell the
body intact. According to his reply below he would
like to do that.

I agree with the horrible job of scam-policing.
There is a guy, on ebay right now, selling 5 442 items: 3 badges, a cowl
plate, and a vin plate, allowing someone to fully clone a 67 442.
This is both illegal, and really, really stupid. Other than the 442 trim
code on the cowl (5V), I think,
