data is not displayed in OPAC.
Problem is, versions 1.4 and 1.6
How do we solve this problemm?

Jason,
Isn't that basically the same problem with SIP2? Also problematic there.
SIP2 isn't a standard in the same sense. It's not supported by any
national or international standards body. 3M just said, "Here, this is
what we do. Use it if you want/dare."

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond!
At a very low-level, I'm not sure whether these requirements allow for
multiple web sites. "an easy-to-use, comprehensive portal" suggests
one Web site to rule them all, which would be (in my opinion) a
mistake. For example, I would argue that

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the thorough responses. Without addressing anything else, let me
just clarify one misunderstanding you may have. The Communication Committee
has initiated a three pronged offensive and "WIG" or the Web Team (and the
subject of these guidelines) is just one. The Web Team's goa
Hi Anoop:
I'm sorry to see that you haven't had much feedback so far! I'll try

Dimitri,
Did you assign Working Locations to your new user? This is done through the
patron record (Other > User Permission Editor). There is a checkbox for each
of your libraries locations that should be selected to allow users to log in to
workstations registered to the selected libraries.
Dimitri,
Unfortunately, I cannot help you with that question - we have not begun
testing for 1.6 and I don't handle the permissions set-up anyway. Chris
Sharp does that here; but, he is at a library staff training day today.
Hopefully, someone else on the list will be able to help.

Elaine, thank you for your reply!
I have one more question, could you help with this?
We are currently testing version 1.6. In this version everything works fine,
but for some reason, when I create a new Cataloger, user with this
permission can't enter to the system. Error appears: Permission Den
Dimitri,
This may be a sync or display issue. The changes you made to the record
have really been saved; but, there is a lag time in display. We had this
happen very often in 1.4.0.2. If you wait (sometimes a few minutes, in
extreme cases a few hours), the display will catch up. At it's worse,
