I have nothing of value to add to this discussion other than my
appreciation to all of you for working so hard to continue developing

Colleagues,
We are making some progress as we wrestle through circulation policy
configurations. Here's the latest issue. We would like to configure more
of our polices at the System org unit level, since our branches have
essentially the same checkout parameters, but for us there is a
If we use the branch level code (ATS-KY for example) as the owning library the
circulating library is the same as the owning library, but it increases the
complexity of the circulation policies.

Well, a few thoughts.
Jason is right. You can use your branch level (ATS-KY) in the record and
still set ATS in the policy. That's the most elegant solution. It also
has a long term benefit. This works because of weighting and it allows you
in the future if you need to, to create policies for
Thank you for all the answers/suggestions/etc.
I really went astray by thinking the official docs were meant for anyone to be
able to install Evergreen. Like Mediawiki, Wordpress, Untangle, Dspace, etc.
As a suggestion, some verbiage might be added to the 2 docs such as:

We're on 2.5.2 and trying to create new staff accounts on our new system.
When we create the account, the password works fine in the Validate

In the interest of speed, we're only porting interfaces over without

Hi Chauncey,
Yes, it looks like that Novelist link back is pointed at a JSPAC URL.
Generally, I would expect the form of a TPAC URL to take

Just double checking: Did you add a username to the OPAC/Staff client
username field on the staff records? It might be helpful to see some
screenshots of the staff records and what's happening in the staff
client/opac.

We wiped the system this afternoon to begin the final import from our old
ILS. When we started with a fresh slate, we could create all the usernames
we wanted. So I'm not sure what happened. We'll be careful creating new
accounts and permissions groups going forward.
