Hi,
I have compiled OpenAFS 1.4.1-rc2 for Solaris 10 x86
with Sun Studio 11.
When I try to load the Kernel module I get:
bash-3.00# modload /kernel/fs/amd64/afs
can't load module: Operation not applicable
Any ideas?
Thanks / Erland

Hello,
I'm trying to install openAFS on a Sun x4100 (SunOS 5.10

were reported a year ago.

I know that something changed after some Solaris 10 SPARC patch and that an
openafs 1.4.2 version was needed to work around whatever change Sun made.
Was there a similar change made to the x86 kernel?
Can you try 1.4.2 ?

You MUST use Sun's compiler to build OpenAFS on Solaris. Other compilers

You can get the compiler for free (both Intel and SPARC) from:
