JDK 8 for ARM hard float is now part of the regular JDK 8 Early Access releases. You can get it athttps://jdk8.java.net/download.html; this page will be regularly updated with new builds. As in the previous Early Access release, this includes JavaFX for the Raspberry Pi. Daniel

I made some tests already and I have to say it works really well. You can also use custom JavaFX8 controls without any problem. I just saw some problems with complex -fx-shape based paths. The performance improvements are really visible, so Oracle did a good job here. Because it's based on b97
