Another attempt to fix this could be:
- let's suppose that click on the openlp dock icon makes openlp active (openlp
has mouse and keyboard focus)
- Qt sends signal openlp is active for the user
- opelp catches this signal
- if the main window was minimized then openlp would just restore it
I also found out that when you minimize openlp main window then the menu
bar changes and only item Python is there. Shouldn't be the menubar
the same even when the presentation window is active?

It look like clicking on the OSX Dock does nothing.
I think we have to handle click on the Dock and maximize the main

I upgraded macoffice to version 14.1 and now the
presentation.save(in_=thumbnail_folder, as_=appscript.k.save_as_PNG) is working
and thumbnails are generated properly.
We should mention in the manual that macoffice 14.0 is not working and upgrade

I was using appscript 1.0.0. It seems like this version does not work properly
with python 3.3. I upgraded to 1.0.1 and openlp is now working. I'm sorry for
that. So this exception is now gone.

I tested the branch and trying to load a presentation in openlp. MS powerpoint
is started with openlp.
These are the issues I get:
- when the user quits manually powerpoint before exiting openlp - powerpoint is
started again after openlp exits.
- when trying to load a ppt presentation - .ppt
Could there be a better description what is meant by 'central place for default
settings'?
- Is it a new file location for saving settings to file system?
- Or is it a python module that will consolidate all default settings in the
openlp code?
