Do you know of what could be the reason for the email invitation link
have the server IP address instead of the server name? I never noticed
it before but someone that is using the openmeetings vm appliance told
me that and I confirmed it. How is the code for the invitation email

The appliance referenced in the first email from Diogo was built by
me, I made this often, not yet for the 1.7 version I'm afraid. The
idea is to be easy to anyone to try openmeetings without all the
issues of platform / components / versions compatibility, it is just

I've just made available a new VMWare image with Openmeetings 1.6 RC1,
using Ubuntu Server Edition 10.04 LTS. I've put an article available
in http://www.openstudio.info with link to the VMWare image and all
the necessary credentials (ubuntu login, mysql database root password,
openmeetings
on of SoX 14.x.x, did not test 13.x.x but 12.x.x

In what CPU are you trying to run this VM? You might try to add the
following line in the .vmx file, cpu section:
paevm = "TRUE"
Please let me know how things went, I've no problem running it on
Windows (XP, 32 bit, Core2 duo CPU) and Linux Ubuntu 8.10 32 bit (both
on Athlon64 CPU and Core
the user need to run any startup scripts?
