Hi,
Pankaj, this is a compelling task.
Which version are you going to work on?
We use SpringSecurity as basis for Authentication and Authorization but a lot
of work is to be done in the
single jsp pages to do this stuff. In practice you have to deploy your own gui
to address this task.

Dear all,
in 1.8 I've added (well not commetted) a simple feature that enable user to add
to the scheduled outage a node/ipaddress with all the
path outage dependency nodes/ip addresses.
This is very useful when you have for example wave bridge networks in which
you can have a very long path
Lot of confusion here!
I made the changes for ICMP packet size and not for scheduled outages.

The main aim to to put together in Scheduled Outages the Path Outage
information so that creating a scheduled outage you can add
with one click not only a root service but also the depending services.
Any comments?

Dear all,
I'd like to enhance the JICMP library in a manner that you can also set the
packet size.
This is very important on MPLS network where the mtu size is fixed and can be
tested using ping.
Just taken a look at the code and it seems that actually we have a 56 byte
fixed size packet.
Just take a look at this issue...

Dears,
I'd like to make some changes in ipinterface.jsp and snmpinterface.jsp just to
fix the SnmpPoller information data.
In the general box you have the information regarding if the interface have
been snmp polled or not.
Here are my consideration, first consider the following:
1) snmpi
o add a new parameter to SnmpMonitor in which I can state if the
Agent is not available do not report unavail status.
Somethink like dependOn=true or false.

I've enhanced the snmp poller to save the poll status and the last
poll time into the snmpinterface table.
Becouse snmppoller is disabled by default I'd like to have before the
daemon stops all
the snmpinterface set to 'N' that means not polled. In fact, in the

I had the same trouble. Someone suggested me that only general
parameter should be added to the event
as a property. Otherwise is better to use the Parms.
For example, I have added in the trunk (1.7.x) ifindex to the event
object so when I parse the varbind in trapd I look for i

Giuseppe,
I appreciate your work in advance.
Some years ago I've also developed such an agent for windows but
the final customer would not publish under GPL.
We have a Contributor Agreement for contribution like your at the

this is an interesting feature.
On which version of opennms you made the trial?
Is it possible to look at the code?
Do you know that in trunk we have WMI support?

Great!
Let me know that I can migrate the code.
Anyway I'd like to understand if some limitations are in place yet
especially that you cannot include svn icons in svg frame!
I'm looking forward the performances.

So we decided to standby merging until performance are acceptable.
