Thanks for your help. I think I got it working now. I reinstalled openct and
double checked /etc/reader.conf.d/reader.conf

CardMan4040 pcmcia card reader.
OpenCT works, at least I get an ATR:
$ openct-tool list

$ openct-tool atr
