I don't think that the rest remote console is really suitable for that(correct

something unrelated to the request). It would be handy if robust had an xmlrpc
Huh?
Usually with http,
well, the rest console returns everything that pops up in the normal grid
console as well. If you create an account, you would expect a certain return
in the console, but if something else happens at that moment, you may get a
different result.

Maybe I am being overly simplistic here, but it seems to me that this thread
is straying far afield from the original proposal!
To me this seems to be analogous to what is done with just about every
movement simulator (e.g. flight simulator) that I have seen - the only areas
that are active are
I'm working a platform too (based on redux) but do not want to touch the
database manually, anyway, will have to. About rest console is there any
information available? CanĀ“t find anything.

I cannot see the link that used to be there for reporting issues? Is
this true for everyone or have I been banned because of reporting
so many 0.7 issues ;-)

Let me put this in an e-mail until I can report it in Mantis... in
case someone knows what the issue is and can correct it in time for a
proper 0.7 release. And to have somewhere to keep the notes.

We have a working 0.7 (SVN 13220) Robust.exe and Opensim.exe setup

One of the problems with OpenSimulator project doing this, is it is not an
established company. There is no central office or managers for this
project. That aside if you wanted to try to raise funds to hire programmers
who will submit their code you could certainly do that, you do not need
Hi Drew,
i was thinking the same just 1 month ago. I directly contacted Nebadon one
of the Devs (on OSGRID) about spending some
money for the physics engine. He told me that Funds are always welcome and
told me to ask the physics guru Revolution Smythe.
I had some nice conversation but as
I will contact you offlist Wordfromthe Wise. And what was said makes
sense. I guess my only concern, and I am serious about doing some serious
fundraising, is the use of the name Open Simulator. I guess if I raised
money and laid out my position, that I am an independent third party

May be a picky point, but OpenSim refers to somehting completely different
than this project!
Any fund raising (or whatever) should be in the name of OpenSimulator
which IS the project name!
Otherwise - GO FOR IT!

Hi,
generally, there are two ways to go about advancing development of a
project. One can do it as a closed, or as an open project.
With an open project, this is rather easy. You simply compensate a
developer for their time to develop certain features of the program
and publish the source code

In my opinion, if someone funds open source development on
OpenSimulator, they can say they are funding OpenSimulator development.
I did EXCLUDE uses of the name to describe or promote/endorse
anything else.

Sorry yes, on re-reading your post I suspect that
I think what probably needs to happen here is the map module needs to
be updated.
When it was written, the only reliable event that it could use to
determine if there's someone who could potentially want to use the map
was AvatarEnteringParcel. That's since changed.. but because the
