Hi guys,
I recently submitted my app to orkut and I got back their reply saying
that they could not approve it because it gave 404s for certain
requests.
Now, I have tested my app left, right and center and cant find anyway
that it might generate a 404.
Does anybody know how does orkut test the
Hi Suchit,
For starters, always test your app on
prod.sandbox.orkut.com. I tried to load this app on it and the app did
not load successfully. Same app loads fine on sandbox.orkut.com. I am
presuming that once the app loads fine, you should not see any 404
issues.
Best,
-Paul.
Rahul,
Not sure if you are embedding the ad using JS or iframe. If
you are using iFrame, you will have this issue. If you are using JS,
then relevant ads will not appear if there is no adsense match.

-Paul.

Take a look at Google Friend Connect. It may give you better options

If the apps are vulnerable, i suggest that you first update
your XML to disable app access from the users. This will protect the
users before Orkut is able to delete these apps.

Vinayendra,
Make sure you tested your app on
prod.sandbox.orkut.com. Also, check your web server logs to see if
there were any 404 errors returned. This will save you some time in
the iterative approval process.

Yusuf,
Apps are listed based on popularity. If your app has been
approved, it could be that it is on one of the last few pages. With
close to 2000 apps, best way to see if your app is listed is to search
for it. If you still don't find your app, send a reminder to the orkut
team. I have

The issue here is not about app not being listed in directory. It is
about it never showing up in 'New Additions'. Another application I
submitted before showed up in the 'New Additions' section (where 3
newest apps are listed at a time) for few hours which was enough to
