Have you ever read the miles of legalese that
comes (not for free, I imagine) with every single Microsoft product?
There's nothing to imagine as such. Everything is front of our eyes. When
you imagine, it means you are unsure. And by the way there
Hi All,
Though I don't personally have enough knowledge about the subject to really
make a very good argument here, it's been suggested by steleman (from
#opensolaris), that I start a thread on OpenSolaris-discuss about this
function, and the possibility of including it within upcoming builds
I had this problem too on a single-hdd Nforce2 system. A new user created
manually is working, however!

counts.
Wouldn't it be sensible to remove those
I know for a fact that at least one function already in LSB and on the
POSIX draft update for inclusion has been accepted.
If the POSIX draft (sign up for the austin group mailing list at

A function like dirfd() is probably needed for completeness and

All ufs filesystems, or just mirrored root? On all my
machines, it's just
mirrored root ufs filesystems that don't show any
data.
I have no idea - I only have a mirrored root...

I dunno, sounds an awful like link spamming, which is damned annoying
when they do it to the genunix wiki. Don't go overboard adding links
where they're not really relevant - wikipedia isn't intended to be a
web directory after all.
