BTW, a live CD to install from is a really good idea, so long as it checks for
JumpStart(TM) along the way.

One thing I really wish for in the next build is that they fix the issue with
the Ekiga messenger,where it hangs upon setup at the detect network type
screen.I have an iBot firewire camera that's supposed to work in OpenSolaris
Sparc but I'll have no way of knowing until this issue is fixed.

I haven't used it today (so I don't know if the server's wonky), but I always
just use 'wget' to pull down the images. Scriptable, automatic retries on
connection drops, plus I can interrupt it and have it pick up from that point
later.

ZFS uses NFS version 4 ACLs, whereas UFS uses POSIX ACLs. Samba doesn't yet
support ZFS ACLs, although support is meant to be imminent. The Samba website
(samba.org) will point you to the Samba mailing lists, which are probably the
best place to find out about the status of Samba's ZFS ACL suppo
I don't think you should be trying to download hundreds of megabytes without
using a download manager. If you are using Solaris or Linux, try using wget (on
Solaris 10 - /usr/sfw/bin/wget). See the man page for details. If you are using
Windows, try getright (from getright.com).

How can I use wget to input my login name, my password, then after that click
"Accept"(for the license) and only then
I use DownThemAll! with Firefox, and it works pretty good. I would change the
default for the 'chunk' directory to /var/tmp from /tmp in preferences (it will
use a subdir called "dta" there & clear it too).
The only things that annoy me about the download process is the signon, god
