Im new to Solaris so I cant really say how things would work. But would there be a way for (Open)Solaris have a module in the kernel to run Java in a native/faster/better way ? My notebook is Dell LATITUDE D630 and I tried to install Windows XP and Solaris 10 on it. I first install Windows XP, and all works well. Then I tried to install Solaris 10. After related drivers installed, both thenetwork and video now works well.However, the sound card still not works. Acco

I tried again and this time it got worse--down to 20KB/s. I am giving up on installing 10u4 for now. BTW, SDM worked OK on my SuSE 10.2; it appeared that it is the nv_70 version of SDM that's having problems. (this message is cc'd to install >> discuss) This message posted from opensolaris
