How does mozilla connect? What is your default now under edit>preferences? Do
you have a router before connection? Are you getting past that? Who or which
other machine is online with outside connection??

One of my friend want to install OpenSolaris 2008.5 release, After

can not use graphic mode system, only can use text mode. I think the

I really start getting confused in this. So their is cat5 and wireless. Any old

Hi,
Basically the B99 installer (fdisk) does not understand the new HD formatting
on modern laptops.
You have to delete the installed recovery partition and Windows partition
before you can install OpenSolaris.
Now it's going to cost me $55 to get a recovery DVD from Acer.

After doing an image-update to 98, I am running into many problems.
1st thing that I had noticed was the absence of 'Xserver' command which
led to the 'gdm' not being started and all I had gotten was only command
line. I fixed this by editing the custom.conf in the gdm directory to
have 'Xorg'

In the last couple of weeks I've bought two cheap ($399) laptops
(Compaq, Acer). Neither came with a recovery DVD, but
