I'm hoping that the new web infrastructure that is being rolled out will fix
this issue...it's extremely frustrating :-|

Not only that, but I have found that recently my messages are cc'd to

Nicholas,
Thank for getting back with me. Not sure where to add the driver in the
Jumpstart configuration?
The only error I see is the following:

Can't load the root filesystem
I'm not sure what's going on because when Jumpstart starts I
I guess I can just burn a cd and boot from the iso?

Can you direct me to a pre compiled version?

I am sure everyone has heard about this by now: future versions of Sun xVM

I'm getting the following console message during boot on snv_109 and snv_110.
Does anyone know what it means, is there a cure, should I even care?
APIC Error interrupt on CPU 0. Status 0 = 0, Status 1 = 80
APIC Error interrupt on CPU 1. Status 0 = 0, Status 1 = 80
I tried /etc/system: set pcplus
Including build 110. Since build 104 I have been unable to load the OS using
the graphics install as it tells me no screens found. when I install in text
mode the system installs fine but upon reboot the system will crash with what I
can catch of it.

hello
I'm sorry but that change to power.conf didn't have an impact to the disk
behavior.
thanks alot for your answer. But i don't feel that the noise is coming from
head parking because there is also lower vibration and lower general noise
coming from the harddisk.
Anyway this means i have o

You get a 60GB mirror.
Then, when you remove the 60G disk and your reboot or export/import the
pool, then it will reevaluate the size of the vdev.
It tried and it worked (and "zpool history" remember

Doesn't dd(1) do a bitwise copy, so how would that work?

Did anyone ever tell you that you're a geni
Additionally, you might want to experiment with `zfs send`, but as I've not
used this feature yet, I can't say whether that'll work for this particular
scenario.

You're stuck.
There's no clean-cut way to do what you want; you can't copy the VTOC over,
because of the geometry mismatch.
The way to do what you want is with a combination of find(1) and cpio(1):
Assuming that the 500GB disk is mounted on /mnt,
( find / -mount -local -depth -print | cpio -pv
