AuroraUX currently is based on dragonflybsd kernel . But their tools are
written in ada so it's no problem to port them again to opensolaris or other
kernel .

It's normal on my computer opensolaris lunching about 1.5 minute , and shutting
downo about 4 minutes .
It shouldn't suprise most services in opensolaris are responsible for network
or security :)

In my opinion OpenSolaris is to difficult OS for average computer user . Lot of
thing must be configurated in shell or configuration files .
To faster progression in market of desktops osol should have more graphical
configurators , more user friendly shell esier instaling/packaging system like

I'm Using Opensolaris becouste this system never failing , opposite for m$ and
a lot of linux
Hello it's my first answer on this forum .
I'm not a developer or system administrator , but I'm looking on SUN-IBM fusion
and using OpenSolaris for a Major OS .
Unfortunatelly we don't know real IBM's Plan of future of Sun , Mysql ,
Netbeans , ZFS , Dtrace , Sparc , OO and Solaris .
