So I saw that it has been installed into /usr/local.

after installing b82 as a profile driven install, I
cannot access OpenSolaris with PuTTY anymore. The
error message is: Access denied. When I install b82
as default installation, there is no problem accessing
it using PuTTY because the ordinary user is created
by dwarf_caiman-installer.

root. The problem is that after mounting the ISO-file
the mount directory is read-only. Every attempt to make

The question if is a problem to use gdm, the opposite
is the truth. For the time being I sincerely can recommend
gdm - at least for my computer: HP Compaq nx6325. The
power management seems to much better than with CDE.
I run the computer now for nearly 6 hours and have had
no panic fan yet

as far as I have seen there were no popup shown. But
otherwise the battery info icon is not shown anymore.
Maybe when I reconfigure it to be displayed the error
message pops up again. Have to test it.

Hi,
as I sincerely love SX[CD]E but b75 has several severe bugs. First the
installer crashes with the developer version while configuring and then
the version with the old installer does not install the developer tools.
After trying to install the developer tools manually even this did not
work
I sincerely excuse me for the word desaster. I almost
did make a incomplete installation. So I will do install
b75 once more with the old installer attempting to in-
stall it properly now.
If that does not work either, I will patiently wait for
b76.
