Re: [osol-discuss] /var/pkg/download

Yep, you can delete all directories with hexadecimal names under /var/pkg/download IF you take in consideration: many, if not most, of the blocks will be consumed for older snapshots/BEs. You'll have to remove the snapshots, too -- beadm destroy would be the correct way to do

2009-07-04 Thread Tony Curtis
My /var is getting full. Biggest culprit is /var/pkg/download. Is it possible to clean up in there? If so, is there a correct way to do it e.g. through the pkg command? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list

[osol-discuss] 111b - 117 update under vmware issue (blank display)

2009-06-30 Thread Tony Curtis
I just updated an opensolaris install under VMWare from 111b to 117. Everything went well, system rebooted, console login prompt appeared, X11 started. Then the display went black (completely blank) and it's been that way ever since. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org

[osol-discuss] be_name literal

2009-06-17 Thread Tony Curtis
Doing an Update All from the package manager asks me for the new BE name, which I enter such as be-2009-06-01 for example. After the update reboot, the active BE is called, literally, be_name. Am I messing something up? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
