Well, we've got several customers (who put out a newspaper every day using their systems, so they do get used) who've had uptime over 500 days. The highest I personally saw was 915ish days. I'd installed the system (e450 w/Sol 6 & Sybase 11.0.33) and they just left it alone until I came back t

The company I used to work for had an E450 running Solaris 2.6 and Informix SE plus 4Js that was only ever shutdown for: 1. Power failures longer than half and hour (about every 6 months as we were out in the stix). 2. Changing the battery on the A1000 RAID array, which was required ever 2 year
