This morning I successfully burned a DVD with GUI in SXDE, which is looking very similar as in OpenSolaris. So this means there is something wrong in OpenSolaris. The next step will be trying to use cdrecord in OpenSolaris. I first will probably need to reinstall OpenSolaris since the upgrade

I guess so. The one which is not working when writing should start is accessed by clicking: Places - CD/DVD creator. I remember using this tool successfully on my other computer at home. However I'm not sure this was on OpenSolaris or SXDE. On Solaris 10, I've always used cdrw. This message
