The Setting browser home page always fails causing a failed return code for the
whole install, and the splash image is in the way of a console login. I also
think the splash image is hiding errors concerning missing packages that I need
to add.
I'm using the 2009.06 release.

You don't have to disable nwam i believe what your seeing the service restaring
it's self. nwam can be set with a static IP. to verify cat /etc/nwam/llp and it
should say the interface and then dhcp if it's still set to automatic.

Is timeslider (and Nautilus integration) supposed to work on the live CD
(version 2008.11)?. On my laptop (IBM T42 with 1 GB of RAM), the live CD
appears to function normally. However, after I supposedly activate timeslider
(checking the box in the graphical tool), the timeslider icon in the Nau
to create the mirror assuming neither drive is the rpool drive it should look
more like this

Are you trying to create redundancy for your data, if so then the mirror 1
setup pointed out above is the way to go. But if your trying to create a dual
boot environment so you have to identical setups to play with and for possible
testing then I would suggest not doing the dual boot and just us
