Thank you for this hint. I'll give it a try.
How current is the current directory anyway. My thought
was that the closed binaries has to be used from the
directory chosen (e. g. b86). If it is wise to always use
the current binaries I will do so in future.

Where does the include files for X11 live? I have pulled the Project Indiana
developers preview and installed, but I cannot compile some software because I
do not have X11 include files (Xlib.h) and noticed they are not there. I also
did a - pkg install redistributable - but that did not pull in
I was able to get it working by symlinking libX11.so.6 to it. Thanks

Looks like you're missing some 64-bit shared objects.
Is there a /usr/lib/amd64 directory on your install? If so, is there a
libX11.so.4 file in that directory?

After installing the SUNWj6rtx I tried using the java -d64 flag to run in 64
bit and I got this error, but running in 32 bit works fine. I'm an extreme

How do I go about obtaining a 64 bit jvm for indiana? The machine I'm working
on has 16 GB of ram, and while trying to allocate a large heap for a java
process I get the following:

Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx10g

In general i mean the directory which has been created after issuing:
# hg clone ssh://[EMAIL PROTECTED]/hg/onnv/onnv-gate
Then I create a workspace
mkdir /export/buildon
next I create a symbolic link inside /export/buildon
ln -s /export/h
You can delete the Dell utilities partition, but note that if you phone up Dell
looking for support and they ask you to run something from the utilities
partition but you've deleted it, they are likely to refuse to go any further in
helping you. Also, if your PC did not come with a Windows XP CD
Sounds like a limitation of FAT, esp. if the Solaris PCFS implementation isn't
doing the UTF-16 encoding of the long file names as it is (if I understand

supposed to. (The Solaris PCFS implementation is also said to perform quite

I sincerely would suggest OSS from

Either download the package or
build the source yourself. I built
it without any problems.
