I am aware, that the Ubuntu grub is nor able to boot from a ZFS partition.
That's why I used chainloading, which should load the Solaris grub to boot into
Solaris.
That should be possible, right?

Hi
Having problems upgrading looks like something to do with the nics but not

Is the problem Grub not displaying properly, or is the kernel serial output not
getting redirected?
I have a new X4540 on which console redirection is not yet working. I had the
same problem with some X4500-somethings (1U AMD servers) some time ago. I could
not get the proper kernel parameters

I do not know whether this is the right place to post my problem ... but I just

I recently installed OpenSolaris 2009.06 on my PC.
The PC has 2 IDE hard drives. The first one runs Ubuntu 9.04.
On the second one I installed OpenSolaris 2009.06 (during isntallation both

my osol 2009.06 installation ends in errors, i'm having troubles with ZFS.
I'm new to ZFS and i don't know how to manage this, actually i hoped to learn

Looks like your trying to install something looking for linux.
Suggest you try
pfexec install SUNWsongbird
works for me :-)

I use synergy and if you don't want to bother to compile it you can get them
from the pending repository: http://jucr.opensolaris.org/pending
There you'll find synergy and quicksynergy (a gui for making it even easier).
