Just figured out why I stopped being able to produce the problem after
switching to Win2000.

Continuing the debugging process yields the following:
. the value of 'entropy' is too low because RAND_add() is only
called with a non-zero 'add_entropy' parameter in two places:
- when the GlobalMemoryStatus() data is added
- when the Module Walking data from the ToolHelp32
snapshot?), all that I see
being left to do is the output problem on VMS. Also, possibly the
mod_exp thing that I see in the STATUS file as well (has it been
fixed?)...
Therefore, I intend to build a third beta on thursday morning (swedish
time), say around 0800 UTC. This beta will be primarly intended
