Subject: Re: [Openstack] dhcp is not leasing an ip address in vlan mode
This sounds like it might be working properly
I have installed Essex in vlan mode. I am getting the following error
libvirtError: Failed to add tap interface to bridge 'br100': No such process
I see vlan100 and br100 up and running.
Any help is appreciated.

Hello,
I am not able to attach a volume to a running instance.
I am able to create volume but attaching it to the running instance is failing.
Using Essex release.
I am getting the following error:
File /etc/iscsi/initiatorname.iscsi could not be found.
Detailed nova-compute log:
Thank you all for the responses. There was a problem with my cloudpipe image.
So, I recreated it. Now cloudpipe instance launches fine.
However, when I configure, /etc/network/interfaces with br0 as provided in the
documentation, I cannot ping or ssh to cloudpipe instance.
that has guestmount.
Is there any package that I am missing?

Hello,
I am trying to launch cloudpipe image. I created the cloudpipe image and
uploaded into glance. I am testing with Essex Release candidate version
(RC4) that was released before the final Essex release.
When I run the command
nova-manage vpn run project-id userid, nova-manage says the

However, if I run the nova-compute from the command line directly, it starts
and works fine.
Am I missing anything? Any clue is appreciated.

Yes. It is old upstart job that was used for diablo release.
As I am installing essex version from the tar files, these upstart nova-*.conf
files were not available.
How do I get the latest upstart config files?

Hello,
I see that quantum has come a long way since its diablo version. I was
wondering if quantum-essex works with nova/openstack essex version only or is
quantum-essex indepedent of nova/openstack versions/evolution.
