Solved it :). It seems that ping is firewalled for our local LAN.

I think you need set nameserver to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 or other valid DNS at
/etc/resolv.conf, besides you need to reset nameserver at your OpenStack's
@lists.openstack.org
